Dalit Minor Girl attacked with Acid after being Gang Raped

A 17 year of Dalit minor girl was raped and attacked with acid by three men, while she went out to chakki atta from her house at 11 P.M. Out of the 3 accused on is a minor and the other two are adults, after raping her they ran away. The next day she was recovered from a shrub in a farm. Her father went on to file an FIR in the police station of Dewas, Madhya Pradesh all the accused had run away, in a few days 2 of the accused were arrested, but one of them Lokesh is still absconding. The victim had been admitted to a hospital in Indore for 2 months, prior to the filing of this case the victim was shifted to Bombay Private Hospital, Indore as if she wasn't provided with the right treatment she would have lost her legs.

After being shifted to the private hospital she was given proper medical care for free and recieved a compensation of 4 Lakhs due to the representation made by Adv. Shanno Khan, the victim was provided with a sum of 1 Lakh Rupees immediately. After the case was filed in the High Court, the victim received another compensation of 2 Lakh rupees.

This is pursuant to the judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Laxmi Vs Union of India which states that:

“The State Governments/Union Territories should seriously discuss and take up the matter with all the private hospitals in their respective State/Union Territory to the effect that the private hospitals should not refuse treatment to victims of acid attack and that full treatment should be provided to such victims including medicines, food, bedding and reconstructive surgeries. In the event of any specific complaint against any private hospital or government hospital, the acid attack victim will, of course, be at liberty to take further action"

According to Laxmi v Union of India, (2014) 4 SCC 427 says, the minimum Compensation of Rs, 300000 per Acid attack victim is not been fixed in same of the state.
