Order passed asking respsondents to comply with the NRHM and facilitate health services in tea garden areas

Case title: PAJHRA Vs. Sri V.K. Pipersenia & 6 Ors; Contempt Petition (C) No. 350/16; Gauhati High Court Synopsis: An order was passed in a PIL(PIL No. 21/2012) on 29-05-2015 directing the respondents to comply with the National Rural Health Mission as per an MOU signed between the Govt and the teas estates within six months. Other directions were issued to facilitate health services such as appointing sufficient doctors and establishing better transport system in the relevant tea garden areas. But the respondents failed to do so, and thus a petition for contempt has been filed. Status (In court): Pending.
